Hi. I’m Dan.
I registered this domain in 2008 because I wanted my own blog. I mostly wrote about what bothered me in my hometown.
I had no clue what to do with my life.
I retired the blog in 2012. I kept the domain for my email address, which has since become a dumping ground for spam.
Since 2012, I’ve built software for education, web scraping, insurance, and a few other industries. Some projects started from scratch. Others needed rebuilding before they could go live.
Along the way, I hired people, built teams, fired teams, failed multiple times, started from scratch, handled customer support, and moved infrastructure between cloud providers and physical servers. I learned that building the software is only part of the job.

Since 2021, I’ve been a co-founder at jeco.dev and WebScrapingAPI. At jeco.dev, we’ve launched more than 15 products. Some became profitable, while others flopped.
WebScrapingAPI grew into a business processing more than a billion API requests a month, with a two-person team. I’ve worked on everything from the infrastructure to the documentation and customer support.
